The Income Tax E-Filing Portal was launched on June 7 this year. Infosys was given the responsibility of producing it. With the arrival of this new portal, it was believed that people could file income tax returns much easier than before. But since the website was launched, there have been technical problems with it. On June 22, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a meeting with senior officials of Infosys. It also discussed issues facing the portal. It was then suggested to improve.
Earlier this week, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the problems in the portal would be resolved within two to three weeks. Nandan Nilakani hopes that it will be corrected soon.
