Team India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after a historic win by three wickets in Australia’s fourth and final Test in Brisbane. The win was very special, as Team India won the last 32 years on a losing ground in Australia. India made a comeback after losing the first Test in Adelaide and retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after defeating Australia 2–1 in the second consecutive series. Following this magnificent victory, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has congratulated Team India in Hindi.

He tweeted, “Celebrate this historic victory against all odds. But the real team is coming to England a few weeks later.

Opener Shubman Gill missed a century for India, but he scored 91. In addition, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 89 and set a good example of aggression and defense. India set a target of 328 runs and their first win in Gabba was 329 for three.

Amid all this, Cheteshwar Pujara’s 211-ball innings of 561 runs again showed his fighting spirit. He also let his young companions play freely. Pujara scored 114 off 240 balls with Gill and 61 off 141 balls with Pant. With this historic victory, India finished first in the World Test Championship, beating Australia. Australia have been dropped from New Zealand for the third time since the series was lost.
