IND vs. ENG: Ravichandran Ashwin, world record holder, says, “What’s the plan against left-handed batsmen?”

The second Test of the four-Test series between India and England is being played at M Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The second day of the Test was completely named after the Indian bowlers. Against Ravichandran Ashwin’s spectacular bowling, one of the English batsmen didn’t go out and the entire team was all out after scoring just 134 in the first innings. Ashwin took 5 for 43 and pushed England back to bat. After Stuart Broad’s dismissal, Ashwin became the first bowler in Test cricket history to take 200 wickets against left-handed batsmen. Meanwhile, the off-spinner has revealed his plans against left-handed batsmen.

IND vs ENG: Rishabh Pant’s comment on the second day of the test:

Speaking at an online press conference, Ashwin said: ‘I don’t remember how it started, to be honest, the ball goes out to left-handed batsmen and it makes things easier for the off-spinner. For a left-arm spinner like this, bowling for right-handed batsmen is a little easier. Ashwin said he has been working on different dimensions of the game for some time and that’s why he’s having success. Ashwin has bowled Ben Stokes and Harbhajan Singh who have taken more Test wickets in India’s ground.
