IND vs. NZWTC Final: Fans praying on Twitter after India’s second innings defeat

The final of the ICC World Test Championship is being played between India and New Zealand at the Aegis Bowl in Southampton. The reserve day game has just begun. At the start of the reserve day, India lost the wickets of India captain Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. Kyle Jamieson dismissed both. India were bowled out for 130 in their second innings at the time of writing for the loss of five wickets. Fans have been praying for rain on Twitter since Virat, Pujara and Rahane were sacked.

Virat Kohli dismissed for 13 off 29 balls in the second innings. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 15 runs. Rahane couldn’t do much in the second innings. He fell to Trent Boult after scoring 15 runs. Following this, fans on social media prayed for rain. Due to the rain in this match, the first and fourth day of the game was completely washed away. The match had to be stopped early because the light was poor on the second and third days. India scored 217 in the first innings. Ajinkya Rahane scored 49 runs for India.

On the fifth day, India bowled out New Zealand for 249 runs. Mohammad Shami took 4 wickets for India while Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets. Devon Conway scored 54 for New Zealand. On the other hand, Kiwi captain Kane Williamson scored 49 runs. New Zealand were leading by 32 runs in the first innings.
