Team India opener Prithvi Shah was named Man of the Match in the first ODI of the three-match series against Sri Lanka. Shah played a brilliant innings of 43 off 24 balls and put pressure on the Sri Lankan team in the opening over. India won the first match by seven wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Prithvi Shah’s rumored girlfriend Prachi Singh congratulated the young batsman on Instagram. Prachi Singh’s Insta story is becoming quite viral. He used Prithvi Shah’s flattering heart emoticon. Sri Lanka scored 262 for nine in 50 overs, in reply India won by three wickets in just 36.4 overs.
Apart from Prithvi Shah, skipper Shikhar Dhawan scored 86 and debutant Ishaan Kishan scored 59. Suryakumar Yadav also made his one-day debut in this match and is out for 31 after scoring 31 off 20 balls. With Prithvi’s batting power, India crossed 50 in the first five overs. Shah hit nine boundaries in 43 innings. Prachi shared a post on the Instagram story, written in which Prithvi Shah played well, scoring 43 off 24 balls, including 9 fours and 36 runs off a boundary.
Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Not long after, Kuldeep Yadav and Yujvendra Chahal became part of the Eleven Elements. They each took two wickets. Deepak Chahar also picked up two wickets. Chamika Karunaratne scored 43 runs for Sri Lanka. The second game of the series will take place on July 20.
