IND vs. SL: Sri Lanka Coaches and Players Training PPE Kit, Watch- Video

The Sri Lankan cricket team is due to play a limited-overs series against India from next week. The series was supposed to start on July 13, but after the team’s batting coach Grant Flower and team data analyst GT Niroshan were found to be corona positive, the series has been re-scheduled and it will now start from July 18. Sri Lankan players and coaches are being cautious after coronation cases emerged within the team. With this in mind, people have started training in PPE kit.

Sri Lanka Cricket has posted a video on its Twitter one in which coaches practice their players to wear a PPE kit. In this one minute 53 seconds video, the entire practice session of the team is shown. Aside from wearing a PPE kit, Koch is also wearing a mask. The team has started its training since Monday and now they have started practicing wearing a PPE kit during the Netus training period. Sri Lanka’s first team, which includes senior players Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Perera, Dusmantha Chameera and Dhananjay de Silva, tested negative on their new RT-PCR test before the limited-overs series against India.

Sri Lanka recently suffered a clean sweep in the T20I series against England, losing 0-2 in the three-match ODI series. Head coach Mickey Arthur said it was a very challenging trip for the team and the only mistake the team made was to send Niroshan Dikwella, Kusal Mendis and Danushka Gunatilka home for violating the Bio Bubble Rule.
