Ricky Ponting, the head coach of Delhi Capitals, was not happy with the decision of captain Rishabh Pant during the match against Rajasthan Royals. “We haven’t bowled R Ashwin’s full four overs. Ricky Ponting said it was our fault. Ashwin scored just 14 runs in his three overs. Ponting said he would sit down with captain Pant to discuss why Ashwin did not bowl the entire four overs. Ashwin had an account save, but despite this, the pant gave the ball to Marcus Stoinis.

After the match, Ponting said, “I think he bowled fantastic, so we didn’t get full overs because of the mistakes of our side.” The pant ball was handed to Stoinis in place of Ashwin and he added 15 runs in that over to the Rajasthan Royals account, including three boundaries by David Miller. “I will talk to Captain Pant about this,” Ponting said.

The previous match was bad for them, after which they worked very hard on their bowling and made sure they didn’t make a mistake. Batting first, Delhi Capital’s 147 for eight in 20 overs, in response, Rajasthan Royals scored 150 for seven in 19.4 overs.
