IPL 2021: Virender Sehwag praises Prithvi Shah, cannot do this job in his career

The 25th match of the IPL 2021 took place between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday. Delhi Capitals set a target of 155 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 16.3 overs. For Delhi, Prithvi Shah played a blistering 82 off 41 balls. Former India opener Virender Sehwag praised Prithvi Shah’s innings against KKR. Having said that, he cannot make boundaries in 6 consecutive balls throughout his career.

In the first over of the innings, Prithvi Shah hit a six off KKR bowler Shivam Mawi on Thursday. In addition, he became the first batsman to hit 6 boundaries in the first over of IPL history. Sehwag said in a conversation with Krickbuzz that when I was playing cricket, often starting the innings, I was expecting to hit all six balls of the over. But I could never do what Prithvi did against KKR.

Sehwag said that putting six boundaries in all six balls means that every ball is played properly in the gap, which is not easy. I have done openings in my career and thought of hitting all six balls multiple times. But I could only score 18 or 20 in the maximum over. I could not hit 6 boundaries or 6 sixes. For this, the timing of your shot playing should be right so you can find the gaps.

He said Prithvi Shah did a fantastic batting. He didn’t seem to have come to play cricket. Shaw knew where the bowler would bowl. I have batted many times in home matches against the Nets, Ashish Nehra, but I have not been able to hit 6 fours in an over against him. Hello to Prithvi Shah’s wonderful innings.
