IPL 2021: What did Rishabh Pant say when he became the leader of the Delhi Capitals at the age of 23?

Rishabh Pant has been given command of the Delhi Capitals in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2021 starts from 9th April. New Delhi: Delhi Capital’s chairman and co-owner Kiran Kumar Gandhi on Tuesday announced that Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the captain after Shri Iyer left the IPL 14 due to injury. The Delhi Capitals will open their campaign on April 10 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against the 3-time champions Chennai Super Kings.

At the age of 23, Pant has a chance to become the leader of the Delhi Capitals. After becoming the captain of the Delhi Capitals, Pant said I started my IPL journey from Delhi six years ago. I had a dream of captaining this team, and I am grateful to the owners of my team who felt that I deserved this role. There are so many good and great people around me, I can’t wait to give my best to my team.

Rishabh Pant joined the Special Club soon after becoming the captain of the Delhi Capitals.

Shreyas Iyer’s departure is a big setback for the Delhi Capitals. Under his leadership, the team reached the final. Iyer’s left shoulder was injured during fielding in the first match of a three-match ODI series against England recently. Iyer has to have surgery on his shoulder so that he is unable to return to the cricket field for 4-5 months. He scored his best in the third game. Pant scored 77 in the second and 78 in the third. Iyer played for the IPL final last year and captained the Delhi Capitals.
