Is ‘Sosay’ getting loans under Mudra scheme? Finance Minister’s answer to Rahul’s crony capitalism

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reacted sharply to the continuous allegations of ‘crony capitalism’ by the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Nirmala Sitharaman attacked the Opposition and proposed the Mudra Loan Scheme and asked if the Societies would borrow under it. During the debate on the general budget in the Rajya Sabha, the Finance Minister said, “Under the Mudra loan scheme, up to Rs 27,000 crore has been lent. Who benefited from the Mudra project? Son-in-law? “The digital minister also spoke about increasing digital transactions. He said digital transactions worth Rs 3.6 trillion took place from August 2017 to January 2020.

Nirmala Sitharaman, who has neglected what the central government is doing for the poor, has been continuously accused by the opposition of her crony capitalism. He said the opposition was trying to create a false narrative. The Finance Minister said 80 million poor people were given free rations during the Corona era. Besides, 8 crore women are being given free cooking gas. Cash was transferred to 40 crores of accounts. The government is directly helping women, differently abled, farmers and the poor. The finance minister said whether entrepreneurs only benefit from these projects.

Referring to the PM housing project, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said 1.67 crore houses have been completed under the scheme. Are they made for the rich? Since October 2017, power has been distributed to 2.67 households. So far, orders worth Rs 8,22,077 crore have been placed in the government e-market. Have the big companies accepted these orders? All these orders have been received by small scale industries.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly accused the central government of crony capitalism in the past few days. He also said that before this there was a slogan, Hum du-hamare du. But the Modi government has implemented this slogan in its economic policy and is working for entrepreneurs. Rahul Gandhi, addressing a rally in Rajasthan, accused the government of helping the capitalists. Rahul Gandhi said the government wants to hand over 40 crores of agricultural work to one man. “Narendra Modi is scared of China, but he is fighting the Congress and wants to hand over his land and crops to the corporate,” said Rahul Gandhi.
