JDS, Congress plan to field DK Ravi’s wife in RR city

Bangalore: The by-election is in full swing in the Congress-JDS. Former Congress CM Kumaraswamy and DK Brothers, on the other hand, have decided to try DK Ravi’s wife, Kusuma, because there are no suitable candidates for the Congress and JDS in RR city.

Amidst this development, DK Ravi’s wife, Kusuma, along with his father Hanumantarayappa, were intrigued by the visit of Nirmalananda Sree of the Adichunchanagiri monastery. DK Suresh, MP, met with RR city Congress leaders and worked to gather opinion.

Speaking after the meeting, DK Suresh said, “We will select the all-inclusive govt. The name of Kusuma Ravi is mentioned. But I don’t have much information on this. Former CM Kumaraswamy has tweeted that Siddaramaiah has no alliance with JDS. Congress is not a party worthy of the alliance. The Nawans tweeted that they did not go to Congress doorstep and were outraged.

At a state BJP core committee meeting yesterday, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa had said Munirth should be given a ticket in the Rajarajeshwari city by-election.
