Joe Biden, newly elected from the US, said the tariffs imposed by defending President Donald Trump on importing many goods from China were not going to be lifted immediately. He said the Trump government was not going to cancel the initial trade deal with China.
Biden says he wants to increase his profits in future negotiations with America’s geopolitical rival. Speaking to New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, Biden said, “I’m not going to take any quick steps and the same applies to fees.”
“I’m not going to prejudice my choices,” Biden said in a Friedman article published Wednesday.
