Kieran Pollard said why Shiron Hettmeier takes West Indies cricket forward

West Indies all-rounder Kieran Pollard has said that Shimran Hettmeier is a player who can lead West Indies cricket. Pollard is currently captain of the West Indies ODI and T20 team. The 24-year-old said he would like to see three forms of cricket played out.

Hettmeier last played the Test match in November 2019. He failed to pass the compulsory fitness test and was unable to make it to the West Indies in the recent home series against Sri Lanka. Hetmier last played one-dayers in January 2020. “We like Hettmeier,” Pollard said on the line and length TV show at SportsMax. He is the person we know from the bottom of our hearts. He can take West Indies cricket forward with his skills from generational perspective. They have such skills and can be quite successful.

He said he knows the truth of what it is. We want to see them play in all three formats. But they have to work hard. His record is the best in ODIs. We have seen what they can do in the Indian Premier League and it is up to them to see what lies ahead. The world is under his feet. Shimran Hetmier returns to the West Indies for the T20 series against South Africa, Pakistan and Australia. The West Indies, led by Kieran Pollard, will play five matches each with all three teams. He has scored 84 runs in 6 matches playing for the Delhi Capitals before the IPL 2021 kicks off.
