For the past 11 days, support for farmers has been increasing in protest against the new government’s new agricultural laws in the country’s capital, Delhi. Along with the political parties and the entertainment world, the sports world has begun to raise its voice for farmers. In this episode, 30 players rushed to the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday to return their title, but Delhi police stopped them in the middle.
In support of the peasant movement, all these players wanted to meet the president and return his award. Wrestler Kartar Singh, one of the 30 players, told news agency ANI that players from Panja and some other states want to return their titles. Farmers have been warned that if their demands are not met, they will intensify their resistance and block the way to the nation’s capital. Negotiations between the government and agrarian farmer organizations have so far failed, and the sixth round of talks will be held on Wednesday.
