2- If you are checking baking soda, then add 1/4 tsp vinegar or lemon juice to the water.
3- If you are testing baking powder, you do not need to add vinegar.
4- Then add 1/4 tsp baking soda or baking powder to this mixture.
5- After adding baking soda or baking powder, if the mixture immediately bubbles, your baking soda or baking powder is even better. If you haven’t seen any bubbling, it’s time to replace the baking soda.
