Kiwi batsman Henry Nichols warned the team before the final of the World Test Championships that the pair were dangerous

Of the World Test Championships (WTC). The more worried a person is about risk. India and New Zealand will face Southampton’s Aegis Bowl in the first final of the WTC. Its pitch usually helps the spinners.

In an interview with PTI, the Black Caps (New Zealand men’s cricket team), who is in fine rhythm in the Test, said: ‘India has a good pace and they have experienced spinners like Ashwin and Jadeja. He has played good cricket all over the world and his bowling has been great. If there are no complaints of injury, the Indian team can take part in fast bowling with Jaspreet Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami for the match starting on June 18. He said, ‘Jaspreet Bumrah and Ishant Sharma, along with Mohammed Shami, have demonstrated their skills over the last few years, which is similar to our fast bowlers (Train Bolt, Tim Southee and Neil Wagner). We are really proud of our bowlers.

Aamir Sohail made it clear 25 years later in the 1996 World Cup debate with Venkatesh Prasad

The 29-year-old batsman, who has scored 43 in 37 Tests for New Zealand, said: “If you are facing that kind of bowling, it is a great challenge.” I think as a team we work hard but we are ready for the challenge. His teammate Devon Conway had clay filings on the pitch during practice, and Nichols backed up his strategy, saying playing in a neutral position helped the spinners there.

He said, ‘We did this experiment in camp before coming to England. With this, we were able to practice against balls that take more spin. So, when playing in a neutral position, we have to look at how the wickets are. We must also be ready against the bowling of Ashwin and Ravi Jadeja. Nichols is part of the New Zealand team that beat India in three home Test matches in three days at the beginning of 2020. The team will gain confidence in the final of the WTC.
