Former MLC Mulayam Singh Yadav, a veteran socialist leader of Auraiya, died on Saturday night at Kadhore in his native village Kakor. He was 92, in the year 1949, at the age of 21, he was elected sarpanch of his village. After this, he was a block chief for 15 years and a member of the Legislative Council for 20 consecutive years. Mulayam Singh Yadav was very close to former SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. SP President Akhilesh Yadav has paid tribute to his death.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, who has a keen sense of politics, became the sarpanch of the village in 1949 and was elected to this post five times in a row. He was the block chief of Bhagyanagar from 1973 to 1988 and was then elected to the Legislative Council for the first time in 1990. He continued to be a member of the Legislative Council from the local body constituency till 2010. Grandson Gaurav Yadav said that recently he had returned home from a hospital in Kanpur with health benefits, but his health deteriorated again. The party leadership has sent a condolence message to the family on his death.
