Rajasthan’s Central Goods and Services Tax (Alwar) anti-aviation team carried out a tax raid on Sunday. 210 crore has been defrauded through 15 fake companies. Four people have been arrested in the case.

CGST Chief Commissioner CP Goyal said, “On intelligence information, Bhiwadi Messrs. Swissline Intrade Pvt Ltd has been found to have benefited from fraudulent ITC fraud worth crores of rupees through fake invoices. The investigation was conducted by CGST’s anti-aviation team.

He said that during the course of investigation, it was found that the business related items were not found in the six firms which had shown offices in Jaipur and Bhiwadi and registered with GST. Based on the investigation, Alwar’s CGST anti-aviation team, in conjunction with the Delhi-West Commissioners of CGST, conducted simultaneous searches of offices in Delhi, residence of counterfeit agencies and their directors. In the search operation, 15 fake companies were found and the total turnover was Rs 1300 crore His ITC is worth Rs 210 crore.

CGST Joint Commissioner KK Singh has registered these shell companies as steel manufacturers and traders, but has also issued counterfeit invoices for diamonds and precious stones.
