India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its new SUV Maruti Gym in India soon. Recently some pictures have gone viral on the internet, in which it is said that the company has started assembling the SUV. According to media reports, this SUV is likely to go on sale in the market next year.
In fact, reports have surfaced that the pictures of the new Maruti Gemini have been posted on Facebook, with the company assembling the SUV at its Manesar plant in Haryana. This SUV’s Complete Knockdown (CKD) kit is being imported from Japan. This year, the company introduced a three-door version of the SUV at the previous Auto Expo, but its five-door model will be introduced in India.

Initially, the company assembled 50 models of the new gym. As for the engine, the company is believed to be using the 1.5 liter capacity K15B petrol engine in this SUV, which produces 105 hp of power. The same engine was used by the company in its Vitara Breza, Ertiga and Ciaz. The engine is equipped with a 5 speed manual and 4 speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
After its launch in the market, this SUV will compete mainly with Mahindra Thar. The company is believed to include features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, hit seat, steering mount control, cruise control, passenger grab handle.
