Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said after a meeting with Nepal’s Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gwali on Saturday that there is immense scope for India-Nepal relations. It is significant that Gwali and Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudayal visited India on Thursday for a three-day tour.
During his meeting with India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on Friday, Jianwali discussed the full scope of bilateral relations.
“Today is a wonderful meeting with Nepal’s Foreign Minister Pradeem Kumar Gowali,” Rajnath Singh tweeted. India’s relationship with Nepal is not limited to the governments of both countries but is governed by the people of both countries. India-Nepal relations have unlimited potential.

Significantly, relations between the two countries became tense after Nepal released a new political map last year that showed Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh as part of Nepal.
All aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed on Thursday in talks between Gwali and Jaishankar and the possibility of cooperation in strengthening ties in key areas such as connectivity, trade and energy.
