From April 1 to 14 this year, the country’s exports rose to $ 13.72 billion. This information is obtained from the provisional statistics of the Ministry of Commerce. Exports increased due to better performance in the field of engineering and gems and jewelery.
Last year, the number of exports during April 1 to 14 was 9 3.59 billion. Exports fell by 60 per cent due to the lockdown imposed by Kovid-19 in April last year.
According to statistics, the country’s imports for April 14, 2020, stood at $ 6.94 billion, against $ 19.93 billion during the period under review. The Ministry will release the final figures for April exports for 2021 in mid-May.
Exports rose 60.29 per cent to $ 34.45 billion in March. Exports declined by 7.26 per cent to USD 290.63 billion in the last fiscal year 2020-21.
