Mourning over filmmaking; Nishikant Kamat, director of ‘Drishyam’ has passed away

New Delhi, Aug 17: Bollywood actor and producer, director Nishikant Kamat has passed away. Actor Riteish Deshmukh has tweeted about this. Nishikant Kamat was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis. He had been hospitalized since August 11. The mourning over his death spread some time ago. However, Riteish Deshmukh had said that he was undergoing treatment. Now Riteish has posted about his demise.

Nishikant Kamat is one of the most renowned directors in Bollywood. These include Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’, Irrfan Khan’s ‘Madari’, John Abraham’s ‘Force’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’. Before Bollywood, he also directed many Marathi movies.

Along with directing, he used to play negative roles in movies. He had acted in Bhavesh Joshi movie. He also had a negative role in the movie Rocky Handsome. After his demise, Ameya Khopkar has made a passionate post.

Director Nishikant Kamat made his film debut from the Marathi film Dobinwali Fast. Dombivli Fast was a hit with the audience. Later in 2008 he was seen in the film Mumbai Meri Jaan.
