New Education Policy emphasizes all-round development of children – Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma

Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, said the new national education policy places special emphasis on the universal development of children.

Dr Sharma, speaking on the occasion of GD Goenka’s public school anniversary on Saturday, said the focus was on such employment-based education so that children could find employment while studying. Morality must be cultivated in children and the family and school make a very important contribution to this.

In the new education policy, the Deputy Chief Minister has placed special emphasis on employment-based education, research, vocational courses and teacher training. He expressed his views on the importance and role of private schools in the implementation of the new national education policy.

He said the quality of teachers should be more important than the education system. Thousands of students’ future will be ruined if the quality of teachers declines. In addition, it is necessary to train teachers regularly. The teacher must have a passion for learning relentlessly.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that infrastructure is being developed in the entire state today, including Lucknow. The youth of the state are being provided with speedy employment. Today many large universities in the world are planning to open their institutions in the state. Sanskrit research is taking place in the largest universities in the world. Earlier board exams of the Secondary Education Board lasted for months, but today the high school board exams are being held in 12 days and interim board exams in 15 days, he said.
