Conway hit 10 fours and three long sixes in his 99-run knock. The Australian bowler looked utterly helpless against the Kiwi batsman and failed to slow the pace. Thanks to Conway’s innings, New Zealand batted first and scored 184 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In response, the entire Australian team was all out for 131. Apart from Conway, Ish Sodhi bowled superbly, taking 4 for 28 in his four over spell. New Zealand took a 1-1 lead in the five-match T20 series.

Chasing a target of 185, Australia started off badly and the team lost their first four wickets by scoring just 19 runs.
