Online bus booking, easy way from IRCTC in just 5 steps

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has also launched an online bus ticket booking facility. Travelers can now book buses at the IRCTC website at affordable prices. In addition, train and flight bookings are made in advance here. The new service is live on the official site. Along with the website, the feature will also be available in the company’s mobile app in the coming weeks. So let’s learn how to book bus tickets from IRCTC site –

How to book a bus online with IRCTC
Step 1:
Go to www.bus.irctc.co.in or click this link. Here you will see the bus ticket option, click on it.

Step 2: Here you have to enter the details of the place you want to go. For example, if you want to go from Delhi to Jaipur, leave Delhi and go to Jaipur. After this you will also need to enter the date of the trip and click on the search bus.

Step 3: Here you will see a list of buses available to your destination in addition to the fare. You will also be told the name of the bus operator, the time the bus is running, the time to reach the destination, and the time taken for the journey. Here you are also given a view more option which shows you what other amenities you are going to get on the bus. For example- water bottle, blanket, hand sanitizer etc.

Step 4: After deciding on the bus for your convenience, click Select Seat. Here you will see the seats already booked in gray and the empty seats in white. Choose the seat of your choice. Choose a boarding time and place to your advantage and click Procedure to Book.

Step 5: You will now be prompted to login to the website. If you are a new user, you can enter your mobile number and email id by visiting the guest user login. After this, you have to pay.

Step 6: Upon completion of the booking, details will be sent to you on mobile number and email id. The IRCTC says it is compulsory for all travelers to have health insurance on their phones.
