Step by step process to get a PAN card

Step 1: First go to the Income Tax Department website. Or click on this link. After this, click on the “Quick pan by Aadhaar” option that appears on the left.

Step 2: After this you will get two options: “Get new pan” and “Status check / Download pan”. From these, click “Get New Pan”.

Step 3: After this enter your Aadhaar number and enter the captcha code. This is followed by OTP to the mobile number registered on the Aadhaar card. After entering the OTP, enter the e-mail id and fill in the details for the PAN card.

Step 4: After filling out the form, you will get your PAN number in just 10 minutes, which you can download in PDF format. After applying, you can download the PAN card from this website by downloading the “Option Status / Download PAN” option to download it in PDF. If you want a hard copy you can get it for Rs 50.

Who can apply?

Now Aadhaar number holders can apply for e-PAN by visiting the Income Tax Department website. After that, the PAN number will be allocated to them. This allocation is done on a real time basis. For e-PAN, all you have to do is complete the Aadhaar based KYC process. The PAN will be issued in PDF format to the applicant immediately upon completion of the KYC.
