PK vs. Jim: Abid Ali hit a double century, Pakistan took a strong hold in the Second Test

Pakistan have strengthened their position on the second day of the second Test match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The opening innings was thanks to Abid Ali’s double century and Azhar Ali’s century. By the end of the day, the team’s bowlers had sent four Zimbabwean batsmen to the pavilion for a score of just 52. Zimbabwe is currently 458 runs behind Pakistan’s score.

Pakistan started the morning at 268 for four. Apart from Abid’s double century, the highlight of Pakistan’s innings on the second day was Nouman Ali’s aggressive innings. He missed the first half of his career with a century by Le Kin. Soon after his dismissal, Pakistan declared the innings over. Nouman played 104 balls and hit nine fours and five sixes. Abid played 407 balls in his innings and hit 29 boundaries. Abid Azhar Ali made two big partnerships with 236 for the second wicket and 169 for the eighth wicket.

In the first innings of Zimbabwe, Kevin Kazuja scored four, Tariೆಲ್el Masakanda ero, skipper Brendan Taylor nine and Milton Zumba two. Regis Chakabwa 29 and Tendai Chisoro were in the crease with a run at stumps. Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi, Tabish Khan, Hasan Ali and Sajid Khan took one wicket each. In the first Test of the series, Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by an innings and 116 runs.
