PM-Kisan: 42 lakh unworthy farmers get Rs 2900 crores Taken, now the government will recover

Despite all the efforts of the central government, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) project has a backlash. According to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, about Rs 2900 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of more than 42 lakh unworthy farmers. They are farmers who do not meet the conditions of the PM-Kisan scheme.

The government will recover: 2992.75 crore from 42.16 lakh unqualified farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said in the Lok Sabha that the money should be paid. A large number of these unworthy farmers are Assam, Tamil Nadu, Hattisgarh, Punjab and Bihar. According to Narendra Singh Tomar, accounts of 8.35 lakh unworthy farmers in Assam are worth Rs 554.01 crore.

In addition, it is estimated to cost Rs 438 crore from Punjab and Rs 358 crore from Maharashtra. At the same time, Rs 340.56 crore was earmarked by unqualified farmers of Tamil Nadu. And Rs 258.64 crore from Uyghur farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

Let us tell you that it is the responsibility of the States to identify beneficiaries for PM-KISAN according to the project guidelines. Farmers filing income tax returns or doing government jobs will be excluded from the scheme.

6,000 rupees available each year: The government, led by Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, gives Rs 6,000 annually. This amount is received every four months. Launched in 2019, there have been eight episodes of the project. In May, under the scheme, 20 thousand crores of rupees was transferred to 9 crore 50 lakh beneficiary farmers.
