New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has served more than two decades as the head of the elected government, a feat that few leaders in the world have achieved.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been heading the elected government in India for a total of 6,941 days. He has been CM of Gujarat for 4,607 days and has been ruling as Prime Minister for 2,334 days. Jawaharlal Nehru ruled for 6,130 days. Indira Gandhi worked 5,829 days. Manmohan Singh ruled for 3,656 days, Morarji Desai 2,511 and Atal Bihari Vajpayee for 2,272 days. Modi is credited with leading the government for much of the day.
