Ravindra Jadeja said how Dhoni’s advice improved his batting

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has made a tremendous improvement in his game over the last few years and as a result he has been a part of the Indian team. Jadeja is a fast-paced player who can adapt to the needs of the team, and can bowl with a skimp. Not only that, he is a significant contributor to the team during fielding. However, there was a time when Jadeja was struggling in the batting and until then the advice of team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni worked well for him.

Recently, while speaking with ‘The Indian Express’, Jadeja said,’ During the 2015 World Cup, I was struggling with shot selection. Dhoni helped me a lot at the time and said I would try to hit those balls too, I shouldn’t have hit shots on it. I thought my shot selection was wrong, because it was in my mind whether or not to shoot at the time.

These big challenges ahead of getting the IPL 2021 in the UAE are ahead of the BCCI, how will the board overcome it?

Jadeja said, ‘I have worked very hard on it since Dhoni’s advice. It was clear in my mind that if I was in the crease, I would be able to run faster anytime. If you hit sixes in small balls, you will get a lot of confidence, which will improve your batting a lot.

Jadeja is currently completing a two-week quarantine with the Indian team in Mumbai. On June 2, the team will be touring England for more than three months. The team will play the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand from June 18 to June 22.
