10+ Resident Evil Requiem Secrets the Game NEVER Tells You

Resident Evil Requiem is breaking all the records set by the franchise, and for good reason. The game is full of secrets and Easter eggs, which will be greatly appreciated by longtime fans of the franchise. Many secrets and Easter eggs are easy to find, but some are hidden, and these are usually the good ones. Here we have found 12 Resident Evil Requiem secrets and Easter eggs that you probably missed, so check them out now!

Like Mother, Like Daughter Trophy

There is a small Easter egg with the Resident Evil Requiem trophy, ‘Like Mother, Like Daughter’. You will receive this trophy after picking a lock with Grace in the game. This trophy is an Easter egg dedicated to Grace’s mother’s lock-picking skills, which are behind the Resident Evil outbreak. Alyssa Ashcroft, aka Grace, was previously one of the protagonists of an older Resident Evil game called Outbreak. She was adept at picking locks, which is where the saying ‘Like mother, like daughter’ came from in Resident Evil Requiem.

Enemies and Loot Don’t Respawn

While it may not be a Resident Evil 9 Easter egg, learning this little secret can dramatically change how you play the campaign. Requiem features both Leon and Grace as protagonists, switching between them at different time points in the campaign. Most of the areas overlap for both playable parts. Now, the interesting part is that whether you play as Leon or Grace, the enemies and loot are the same for each area.

This means that if you take the anklet from one area to another as Grace, Leon won’t find it in the same place and vice versa. So, make sure to keep half of your loot. Otherwise, it can make it harder to get Grace or Leon. Similarly, Resident Evil Requiem bosses and enemies you defeat in an area will not respawn after defeating them. This means you can clear the area and make it a safe place for your other half.

The Sentient Lump of Tofu

Yes, the infamous Tofu is back as an Easter egg in Resident Evil Requiem. Players will find Tofu staring at you from behind a pillar when they enter the Raccoon City Police Department. Tofu wears a police department hat and when you shoot it, it will tear pieces off his body, which is pretty cool.

For those unfamiliar with Survivor Tofu, the meme monster first appeared as an Easter egg in the Raccoon City Police Department in Resident Evil 2. Players can play as Tofu in a short minigame parodying The Fourth Survivor. Since then, Tofu has appeared as an Easter egg in many Resident Evil titles, and Requiem is the latest game to feature it.

Play Roulette in Requiem

There is a roulette table in the parlor area of Resident Evil Requiem. Spinning the roulette will always result in the ball landing on the three numbers 7, 15, and 29. There is a Resident Evil 9 Easter egg where you can shoot the number ’29’ on the table and spin the roulette to win a prize. The prize you win is Antique Coins, which can be used to get Grace’s permanent upgrade.

Disable First Person Dot Sight Perspective

The laser dot is one of the most important upgrades for your Resident Evil Requiem weapons. It makes your guns more stable and increases your aiming accuracy. However, when playing in third-person view, using the laser dot sight will cause the perspective to change from third-person to first-person every time you aim the gun. This can be very annoying to use.

Most Zombies Don’t Notice the Flashlight

Resident Evil 9 gives players the ability to turn their flashlight on or off, something that was missing in many older games. Flashlights are crucial for navigating in dark areas. Now, a common misconception is that flashlights can attract hordes of zombies. This is mostly false, as most zombies don’t seem to know about flashlights.

The Robert Kendo Flashback

Longtime fans of Resident Evil will remember Robert Kendo from the Gunshop Kendo in Raccoon City. He first played a gunsmith in Resident Evil 2 who died in a zombie apocalypse. He was a friend of S.T.A.R.S. member Barry Burton and would make custom guns for Barry and other S.T.A.R.S. members. The remake of Resident Evil 2 further fleshed out his story, including his daughter, who was infected.

Rather than fleeing or abandoning his daughter, Robert Kendo decided to stay with her and die together. The Kendo Gunshop is also present in Resident Evil Requiem, and Leon gets a flashback to Robert Kendo’s final moments after entering the location.

Rebecca’s Briefcase

In the Raccoon City Police Department’s Stars Office, you’ll find a locked briefcase. The password to open this briefcase is ‘RRR’, which is an abbreviation for Rising Rookie Rebecca. Longtime Resident Evil fans will remember Rebecca Chambers as one of the franchise’s original heroines, who appeared in the first original Resident Evil game. She’s since appeared in many Resident Evil spin-off games and has become an integral character in the game’s history.

Opening the briefcase will grant you the Power Shades charm, which increases bullet penetration and the damage of the last bullet in the cylinder. Unfortunately, you can’t wear the shades in the game.

Leon’s License Plate

Leon’s car in Resident Evil 9 got its own trailer, and even worked as a marketing ploy with Porsche. While the car is rarely used in the game, it does have a sweet Resident Evil Requiem Easter egg. Leon’s car has a number on its license plate – ND = 9642.

At first glance, this number doesn’t seem like much. However, long-time Resident Evil fans will quickly notice a pattern that new players won’t see. The number actually refers to Leon’s main Resident Evil titles in which he’s appeared – Resident Evil 2, 4, 6, and 9.

Barry’s To-Do List

Another small Resident Evil Requiem Easter egg can be found in the Raccoon City Police Department. While this location is mentioned a lot, what I’m talking about is Barry’s to-do list. Barry Burton was one of the main characters in the first Resident Evil game and was also part of the Raccoon City Police Department.

The to-do list details how Barry was preparing for Leon’s arrival, how he was developing his training plan. It also mentions joining Jill Valentine at the shooting range, picking up his daughter from soccer practice, and finding a lost library book. The to-do list is a small Easter egg for Resident Evil fans who miss Barry as a character.

Chris Redfield’s ‘Made in Heaven’ Jacket

The Raccoon City Police Department area also contains Chris Redfield’s ‘Made in Heaven’ jacket, which was one of Chris’s unlockable outfits in the original games. You can find this jacket in a corner, covered in dust and mold. This jacket is not available in Resident Evil Requiem and you will only see it as a small Easter egg.
