Revolt RV1: The cheapest electric bike coming, offering a good driving range at low prices

The country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Revolt Motors, is currently selling its two bikes in the domestic market. Including entry level RV300 and RV400. The company will now introduce a new electric model, the RV1, which will replace the existing RV300. The new RV1 will cost less than the electric motorcycle company’s current model and is likely to begin production by January next year.

The specialty of the Revolt RV1 is that it will be built entirely locally and ready at the company’s plant in Manesar, Haryana. Built in India, the price of this bike is expected to be minimal. Although the company imports parts from China to manufacture its products, it is now trying to focus entirely on Indian supplies.

According to the company, the existing RV300 model will be discontinued and replaced with the lower-priced RV1 model. The company has not yet shared information on when the bike will be launched. Recently, the company started booking the RV400, which had to close a few minutes later due to high demand.

Rebellion electric bike

According to the McKinsey report, the Indian electric two-wheeler market is expected to hit Rs 50,000 crore by 2025 with an annual sales of 5 million units. Moreover, government support and FAME II promotion policies have also given a big boost to the electric vehicle market. Due to these policies and a mere 5 percent GST, the price of electric vehicles has come down, which is the main reason for its increase in sales. On the other hand, 28 per cent GST is applicable on bikes driven on petrol.

However, there have been no reports on the technology, features, driving range, etc. of this upcoming Revolt bike. We’ll have to wait a little bit for that. The company announced Sunday that Domino’s Pizza is acquiring the entire stock of its entry-level model RV300 Electric Bike. It can replace the existing petrol models in its fleet with electric bikes.
