Rishi Panchami will be celebrated on 23 August

Gwalior, No. The fast of Rishi Panchami dedicated to the sages will be observed on 23 August. All sins are destroyed by observing this fast.

Jyotishacharya Dr. Hukumchand Jain told that on the fifth date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapad month, he is known as Rishi Panchami. Jyotishacharya told that the auspicious time of Rishi Panchami date will start from 07.57 pm on 22 August and will last for 05.04 minutes on 23 August.

Like other fasts, this fast can be kept by women as well as by virgin girls. According to Jyotishacharya, the fast of Rishi Panchami mainly relieves from the sins committed inadvertently. You can observe this fast at any age.

An interesting thing about this fast is that no god or goddess is worshiped during this fast. Rather, women worship the Saptarishis on this day in place of deities. For this reason, this fast is known as Rishi Panchami.
