Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has strongly condemned the retirement of fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz for his retirement from Test cricket. Aamir and Riaz have publicly retired from Test cricket to focus on white ball cricket. Akhtar has said that Pakistan players will be required to play Test cricket if they are entitled. He also said that if players do not want to play Test cricket, they will not be allowed to play for Pakistan.

The 45-year-old former fast bowler said that players who did not play Tests should not be allowed to play T20 cricket. He said Pakistan should invest in the youth and make him a world-class cricketer for the future. ‘If they don’t want to play Test, I tell them not to play T20 cricket and go home and relax. I love working with 16 year old kids. I bring guys from all over Pakistan and invest in them.
