However, now Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has broken the silence and responded to Ranatunga’s words. Of the 20 players sent by India, 14 have represented their country in three formats, the SLC said.

Ranatunga had earlier said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had insulted Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). A series of three one-day and several T20 internationals will be held between India and Sri Lanka from July 13.
