South Africa have announced a limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. South Africa will tour Sri Lanka in September this year. On this tour, South Africa will play a series of three one-day and three T20 matches. Temba Bauma has been made a captain in the ODI and T20 series. Fast bowler Junior Dala has returned to the ODI team. Dwayne Pretorius is back in ODIs and T20s. Faf du Plessis, Chris Morris and Imran Tahir are not in the T20 squad.

Quinton de Kock is not included in the ODI squad. Lungi is not part of the NGD ODI team for personal reasons. The injured David Miller has been inducted into the T20 squad.
