Stock market closed red after losing morning lead, closed with Sensex-Nifty crash

The stock market closed the red mark after losing the early morning gains. The Sensex closed at 52,482.71 with a loss of 66.95 points. Infosys was the biggest gainer on the Sensex. Reliance Industries, Maruti, Nestle India, Bharti Airtel, Titan and TCS, on the other hand, closed with gains.

At dawn

The stock market opened on a strong note on Wednesday. BSE 30-Stock Key Sensitive Index Sensex opened 101.43 points higher at 52,651.09 on Wednesday. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also started trading today with the green mark.

Tuesday is reserved for profit

Shares of ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank and Infosys fell 186 points on Tuesday as investors booked profits. The Sensex fell 185.93 points to touch 52,549.66. Similarly, the Nifty declined 66.25 points to 15,748.45. Among Sensex companies, shares of Kotak Bank fell more than a percentage point. ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, SBI and Axis Bank also ended the losses. On the other hand, PowerGrid, Hindustan Unilever, NTPC, Dr. Reddys and Nestle India are among the beneficiaries.
