Stock Markets Close: The stock market closed today by force. On Monday, the first day of the first week of the month, the 30-stock Sensex of the BSE closed 363.79 points higher at 52,950.63. At the same time, the NSE Nifty ended the day’s trading with a gain of 122.10 points at 15,885.15. At this time, 37 shares of the Nifty 50 closed at the green and 13 at the red mark. In Sensex, 19 stocks closed with losses and 11 gains. However, shares of 21 companies of Nifty 50 closed at the green mark and 8 at the red mark. There was no change in either.
If we talk about sector indices, Nifty IT, Media, Metal, Pharma, PSU Bank, Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services, Private Bank are all closed with profit. On the other hand, if we talk about Nifty Top Gainer, Titan closed with a rise of 3.58 per cent, Shriment 3.52, BPCL 3.05, Adani Ports 2.93 and Eicher Motors 2.89 per cent. Among the top losers are UPL, Tata Steel, Bajaj FinServe, Bajaj Finance and Tech Mahindra. On the other hand, Bank Nifty surged 125 points and Nifty Financial Services gained 70 points today. Nifty mid-cap and small-cap indices also closed at the green mark today.
