In support of the 16-point demands, the CPIM District Committee on Wednesday staged a one-day dharna at the subdivision office premises as part of a nationwide program. The nationwide program started in the procession from the CPIM office complex at Gandhi Maidan. The procession of the activists reached the sub-divisional office premises from Subhash Chowk, Gandhi Chowk via the party office. Where the assembly was transformed. He said that the central government should not look into the interests of the big houses and solve the burning problems of the poor, farmers, laborers and unemployed and small traders of the country.
