Storm R3 Electric Car: Mumbai-based start-up company Strom Motors recently started pre-booking its mini electric car Strom R3. This small three-wheeled car is said to be the cheapest electric car in the world. According to the information received, the company has paid Rs 7.5 crore for the car. About 165 units worth bookings have been registered.
I can tell you that at an early stage the company started booking the Strom R3 only in Delhi and Mumbai. The car will soon be launched in the market, according to media reports. Storm Motors was launched in 2016, and the company first plans to start car delivery in Delhi and Mumbai.
In the second phase, the company plans to start distribution before 2022 in cities like Bangalore and Pune. However, this will be on a priority basis, meaning it will depend on the booking data for which delivery will be first. The company’s founder, Prateek Gupta, told the media that the car could be launched in the market by the end of April.

It produces 48 Nm of torque. Along with this, a fast charger will also be provided, which will help this car’s battery charge up to 80 percent in just 2 hours. This car takes about 3 hours to become fully charged. The company claims that the Strom R3 delivers a driving range of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge. This car is only 40 paise per kilometer.
