BJP MP and former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi has said that the farmers of Bihar were not seen on the road during the Bharat bond. The people of Bihar rejected the bandh for peasants or non-farmers and did not act with the participation of genuine peasants. It is alleged that some places were forcibly pressed on the basis of sticks, in order to avenge the electoral defeat.

Sushil Modi tweeted on Tuesday that the farmers of the state are satisfied with the Kisan Samman scheme, which provides Rs 6,000 per year and helps to double the income. In another tweet, Bihar’s first NDA government repealed the law in 2006 to protect farmers from intermediaries. In the 2010 election, the NDA gave farmer-women the opportunity to re-serve with a majority of 206 seats.
