WhatsApp recently rolled out the View Once feature for its users. With the help of this feature, users can share self-deleted photos and videos on WhatsApp. Enabling this feature will automatically delete the media files sent once viewed. Another feature of this feature is that the photo or video received by the user is automatically deleted from the chat even if it has not been opened for 14 days.

Talking about this feature, Facebook said, “Removing photo-videos from smartphones is a very important part of our lives these days, but it’s not necessary that they become a permanent digital record once shared. Most photos are permanently saved on the camera roll of a smartphone after clicking. That’s why we’re bringing out the View Photo-Video feature once, so once it’s open, it’s automatically deleted from chat and users can take better control of their privacy.
What is the biggest drawback of this feature
There is no doubt that this feature of WhatsApp is very useful for user privacy, but it has a big drawback. The drawback is that the photos and videos sent by enabling the view will be deleted once they are viewed, but if the receiver wants to, they can take screenshots even if they are marked as a view.
