According to preliminary data, an average of 19.50 lakh e-way bills were generated daily on August 8. This is one-and-a-half percentage points higher than the average for early July. At the same time, May and June are even better.

Speaking of an entire month, the figures for the year so far have been about 6 percent lower than the average for the whole of July, but if experts see this trend, there seems to be more momentum in the coming days so that this reduction is completed.
1.56 crore e-way bills were generated in a week
A total of 1.56 crore e-way bills were generated during the week of August 1-8. As a result of the slack in the lockdown, trade activity improved in July compared to May and June and this trend is expected to continue.
About 4 crore e-bills were generated in May and 5.5 crore in June. The figure reached 6.42 crore in July. The impact of these activities is also found in the GST collection of the government. The July tax collection figures for the business in June were released in August. The collection is worth about Rs 1.16 lakh crore.
