Export of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA or APEDA) products increased during the first quarter of the current financial year. Exports grew 44.3 percent to $ 4.81 billion in the first quarter. Explain that these products include fruits and vegetables, rice, meat, whole grains and dairy and poultry products. According to a quick estimate, exports of fresh fruits and vegetables rose 9.1 per cent to $ 637 million during the April-June period of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, exports of cereals, food products and various processed goods rose 69.6 percent to $ 527.77 million. At the same time, meat, dairy and poultry exports increased by 111 per cent to $ 1.02 billion and rice exports rose 25.3 per cent to $ 2.4 billion. At the same time, exports of other commodities rose to $ 231.4 million.
The ministry said the increase in exports was due to various initiatives undertaken by the government. Trade-to-trade shows are organized in many countries. Product specific and general marketing campaigns are exploring new potential markets with the active support of the Indian Embassies.
