Ben Stokes, who was injured during the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Rajasthan Royals in 2021, will be away from cricket for 12 weeks. Stokes had a fracture in his left finger and is now undergoing surgery. England and Wales cricket have reported this. Stokes’ performance has been outstanding for England over the last few years and he was recently named Wisden’s Cricketer of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Ben Stokes suffered an injury while fielding in a match against the Punjab Kings. England Cricket has issued a statement saying, ‘Ben Stokes will be out for 12 weeks. He will have surgery on Monday in Leeds. Ben Stokes will travel to India from India on Saturday (April 17). Stokes had a spectacular performance for England at the 2019 World Cup and championed the team by winning the match-winning innings in the final.
