The NOC allows cricketers to play in the IPL depending on the merit of each case

One day after the Cricket Australia (CA) national team’s tour of South Africa was postponed due to Kovid-19, it said that players participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will have the opportunity to obtain any Objection Certificate (NOC). The players feel that this T20 league, which begins in the second week of April, should not bother agents to get a NOC, perhaps in the event that Cricket Australia hosts no competition in India.

Cricket Australia’s interim CEO Nick Hockley told the Sydney Morning Herald last year that the IPL had proven its biosafety. When applications come to us, we treat each case based on their merits. CA has confirmed that Australia may have canceled their tour of South Africa but will not make any changes to the squad that toured New Zealand for five T20 matches this month.

The team does not include players such as Steve Smith, David Warner, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins. The next IPL date has not yet been decided but the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) wants to start from the second week of April. The tournament will be played in a tight biosafety environment.
