The stock market closed on Thursday, causing it not to trade

Due to the Muharram festival, there is no trading on the Indian Stock Exchange today. According to the stock market holiday list available on the BSE official website, there is no trading activity in the stock market. The stock is currently trading on Friday, August 20th.

On Wednesday, the market crossed 56,000 borders: On Wednesday, the stock market reached a 56,000-point level for the first time. During the day’s trading, the Sensex had reached its all-time high of 56,118.57 points. However, it later declined. Finally, the Sensex ended 162.78 points or 0.29 percent lower at 55,629 points. Likewise, the Nifty on the National Stock Exchange ended at 16,568.85, down 45.75 points or 0.28 per cent. It reached its all-time high of 16,701.85 points in the day’s trading.

Among the Sensex companies, Kotak Bank’s shares were up 0.4 per cent. 2.09 per cent more. ICICI Bank, PowerGrid, IndusInd Bank, HDFC, Axis Bank and Maruti ended with losses. On the other hand, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj FinServe, Nestle India and Bajaj Auto were up 2.46 per cent.

Logs daily: On the stock market, Sensex and Nifty continue to surpass their old record highs on a daily basis. Talking about the market capitalization of the BSE index, it was Rs 2,40,86,349.09 crore. During the course of Wednesday’s trading, the market capitalization reached its all-time high of Rs 2,42,08,041.64 crore.
