The Uddhav government of Maharashtra has reduced the security of several leaders including former state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP reversed the decision of the state government, calling it a vengeful politics. At the same time, apart from Fadnavis, Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar’s security has been removed.
Responding sharply to the Maharashtra government, BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhyaya described the move as unfortunate and a retaliation of the ruling alliance against their party leaders.
The state government has announced in a circular that Fadnavis, the leader of the opposition in the assembly and his family, has decided to reduce their security space. In addition, former Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik and MNS chief Raj Thackeray have also been cut off.
The decision was taken after examining the security protections provided to various individuals in the state, the Uddhav government said in a circular.

The security cover of some BJP leaders, including state chief Chandrakant Patil, has been removed, while Sudhir Mungantiwar has been removed.
