Zimbabwean batsman Ryan Burl posted a picture of his torn boots on Twitter while requesting the sponsorship of the national team, while drawing attention to the country’s cricket crisis. This emotional appeal on Twitter had its effect. Zimbabwe Cricket Team got sponsors in 24 hours. Responding to his tweet, Puma Cricket spoke about sponsoring the Zimbabwe team.
Puma Cricket tweeted, and wrote that now is the time to remove gluten. Ryan Burl previously shared a photo of his shoes and glue on his Twitter handle. In the caption, “There is someone to sponsor the shoes of the Zimbabwe cricket team so players do not have to stick to Soul after each series.” Significantly, Zimbabwe, which won ODI international status before the 1983 World Cup, was awarded Test status in 1992 but the team has been fighting internationally for some time.
