South Korean company Hyundai’s new model Alcazar is performing well in the Indian market in the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment. The company recently launched this SUV on the market. The company claims that more than 11,000 bookings for this SUV have been registered in less than a month now.

Hyundai officially launched the Alcazar for sale on June 18th. This SUV is launched in the market with 6-seater and 7-seater design. Available with petrol and diesel engine options, the diesel variant of this SUV is being preferred. The company says its diesel model is getting more bookings. To date, the company has sold 5,600 units.

The Alcazar’s petrol variant is powered by a 2.0-liter engine that produces 159 PS of power and 192 Nm of torque. In addition, the 1.5-liter engine is used in the diesel variant, which produces 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 6 speed manual and a speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This SUV has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 10 seconds.

Hyundai Alcazar is offered with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be connected to Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The price of the Alcazar petrol variants starts from Rs 16.30 lakhs which is Rs 19.84 lakh for the automatic top variant. However, the price of diesel variants starts from Rs 16.53 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh. In the market, this SUV competes mainly with Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
